NEW PLAN 2019 – 2nd Festival of Modernist Architecture

29 September 2019

In the jubilee year, the second edition of the Festival of Modernist Architecture NEW PLAN will be devoted to this largest pre-war exhibition event.

The most spectacular part of the festival will be an exhibition about PeWuKa . The exhibition dedicated to PeWuKa will be arranged in the former representative pavilion (the intersection of Bukowska and Roosevelt streets) built for PeWuKa and being one of its symbols. The opening will take place on September 29, 2019.

The exhibition will show above all the modernizing feature of PeWuKa: a kind of leap into modernity made in one of the most civilizational advanced cities of Poland at that time. The architecture of the modernist pavilions of PeWuKa, avant-garde and modern, but temporary, will be an attractive leitmotif. The best ones will be approximated by means of mock-ups, and one – in the form of partial reconstruction as the main element of the exhibition. The exhibition will be accompanied by a series of events designed for the general public, carried out in an accessible and dynamic form.
